UFC 205

Alvarez vs. McGregor

Let's start with arguably the most spectacular UFC card of all time, UFC 205. It marked the first time the UFC was held in New York after mixed martial arts had previously been banned in the state. The main event of the evening pitted Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor for the UFC lightweight title. McGregor, already the featherweight champion, delivered a breathtaking performance and made history by becoming the first UFC fighter to hold the title in two weight classes simultaneously.

Additionally, Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson delivered a thrilling majority draw in the co-main event for the welterweight title, thrilling fans with their toughness and fighting spirit, leaving fans clamoring for a rematch. In another memorable fight, Joanna Jedrzejczyk defended her strawweight title against Karolina Kowalkiewicz , impressively confirming her dominance in the weight class.

UFC 217

Bisping vs GSP

UFC 217, held on November 4, 2017, also at the legendary Madison Square Garden, was an event for the history books. Three UFC title winners were crowned that evening, the undisputed highlight being the spectacular return of Georges St-Pierre (GSP) , who returned after a four-year hiatus to challenge Michael Bisping and win the middleweight title. GSP's third-round submission victory was a display of finesse and determination that cemented his status as one of the sport's greatest legends. The event also witnessed two more title changes, with TJ Dillashaw winning the bantamweight title from Cody Garbrandt and Rose Namajunas being crowned the new women's strawweight champion with an upset victory over Joanna Jedrzejczyk . The spotlight was on the welterweight title fight between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal , in which Usman triumphed with a spectacular second-round knockout, demonstrating his dominance and cementing his position as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Equally impressive were the women's flyweight and strawweight title fights, in which Valentina Shevchenko and Rose Namajunas delivered outstanding performances defeating their opponents Jessica Andrade and Weili Zhang , respectively. UFC 261 was not only the Covid-19 return of fans to the arena, creating an electric atmosphere with their enthusiasm, but also a demonstration of the power, technique, and unwavering will of the fighters that made this evening an unforgettable chapter in UFC history.

UFC 178

Johnson vs Cariaso

UFC 178, held on September 27, 2014 in Las Vegas, was an event that fully showcased the allure and unpredictability of the sport of MMA. The highlight was the highly anticipated bout between Demetrious Johnson and Chris Cariaso , in which Johnson once again demonstrated his superiority in the flyweight division by submitting Cariaso in an impressive display of versatility and technical skill. But UFC 178 offered far more than just the main event; it was a night where rising stars and established fighters alike shined. In addition, fights like Donald Cerrone versus Eddie Alvarez provided gripping entertainment and demonstrated the depth of talent in the UFC.
