Youngest Ever Champion

Jon "Bones" Jones

Shortly before his 21st birthday, Rochester, New York-born Jonathan Jones began practicing martial arts. After just six fights in lower divisions, UFC scouts took notice of the 6'4" (1.93 cm) giant. In one of the promotion's most competitive divisions at the time, a young Jon Jones defeated his first five opponents and subsequently won the light heavyweight title bout against the evolving Mauricio Rau. At just 23 years and eight months old, he became the youngest champion of all time and established himself as arguably the greatest talent in MMA history.

Longest Winning Streak

Anderson "Spider" Silva

Perhaps the first mega-star of this young sport: Anderson Silva. Born in a difficult neighborhood in Sao Paolo, Silva stood out early on with his karate and extremely high strike accuracy. When he won by knee strike on June 28, 2006, he probably didn't yet know that this would be the beginning of something historic. 15 (!) more undefeated fights followed, a record still unmatched. However, the streak ended far more ignominiously: The legendary "Spider," known for his spectacles in the octagon, showboated one too many times against a strong Chris Weidman. Silva was knocked out with a left hand.

First Two Weight Champion

"The Notorious" Conor McGregor

The Irishman became the most famous MMA fighter of all time, and not only through his character and trash talk. McGregor first demonstrated his incredible potential in the smaller organization "Cage Warriors," where he held titles in two different weight classes at once. Many doubted whether he could replicate his performance in the premier league of combat sports, the UFC. These doubts, however, would not last long. With the fastest knockout in UFC history in a title fight, he defeated Jose Aldo, who had previously been undefeated for 10 years (!). His success continued at a rapid pace: Just one year later, he surpassed a completely overwhelmed Eddie Alvarez with perhaps the most dominant performance ever in a title fight. On November 12, 2016, "The Notorious" became the first fighter of all time to hold titles in two different UFC weight classes.

Fastest Knockout

Jorge "Gamebred" Masvidal

Most Knockouts

Derrick "The Black Beast" Lewis

He's a character all of his own, this Derrick Lewis. The New Orleans-born American is a true heavyweight at 120 kg. What he loses in the cage due to his extra weight and admittedly unathletic physique, he makes up for with his almost inhuman punching power. The "Black Beast" has already knocked out various heavyweights such as Ilir Latifi, Curtis Blaydes, and Alexander Volkov. The latter is probably one of his most legendary knockouts: He was dominated throughout all three rounds until he put Volkov to sleep with a one-punch shortly before the end. In his post-fight interview, he said: "Donald Trump called me and said I had to knock this Russian mother****** out." Cold War with a twist.
